2026 Mother's Day — Wine at the Buffet
On this Mother's Day standalone message, Pastor Mark South preaches on just three words from Psalm 23:5 — "my cup overflows" — unpacking each in turn. He calls us to receive the specific cup God has given us rather than envy someone else's, to recognize that God hands us a wine goblet of peace even at a table surrounded by enemies, and to let that cup overflow because it is meant to hold the infinite presence of God himself. Drawing on Psalm 16:5, Luke 10:41–42, Ephesians 5:18–21, and Augustine, Mark describes a life intoxicated by grace that does things the flesh would never do. The only reason our cup can overflow with grace is that Christ's cup in Gethsemane and at the cross overflowed with the wrath of God in our place, so we keep coming back to the counter of grace for another fill.
