LS Students/Roots
Our goal:
The Living Stones Youth Group (LS Students or Roots) is all about helping middle and high school students find everything in Jesus, as well as helping them grow in their relationships with one another and their knowledge of the Bible.
LS Students and Roots is a place for authentic exploration of who Jesus is and all that Jesus offers, as well as a place to get connected to the local church.

LS Students Director: Heath
Heath has served as the LS Students Director at the Reno Church for several years.
He received his Bachelor's degree in Bible and Theology from Multnomah Bible College. Heath is married to Nicole who also volunteers for LS Students.

South Reno
Every other Sunday | 3 - 5pm
South Reno LS Students meets every other week for prayer, Bible teaching, games, and fellowship in both large and small group settings led by background-checked volunteers.

Brandon and Katie Thompson serve as the LS Students Coordinators at Living Stones South Reno. Brandon has a long history of working with youth and is very passionate about it. He and his wife Katie live in South Reno and have one beautiful daughter. They love seeing middle school and high school students meet Jesus!

Gabe has been a part of LS Students for the past couple of years. He works part time for LS Sparks and is currently an Elder in Training.

LS Roots Director: Carter
Pastor Carter grew up in Elko, moved away to Reno for college in 2006, and has been living in Elko since 2018. He has a deep love for students and a calling to share the gospel with them. Nothing is better than seeing students come alive in Christ!

LS Students Director: Shelby Holte
Shelby is in her third school year working with LS Students, though she brings with her a long history of working with youth. She is a full time wedding photographer, and when off the clock, can be found with her two dogs on a local trail. She and her husband, Collin, moved to Carson City in 2017 and have a great desire to see the local students thrive with Jesus!

In his free time, he enjoys biking, hiking, rock climbing, and more.
