Seeking God's Guidance & Peace

For the United States

Our citizenship is in heaven.

The ancient city of Philippi highly prized its status as a Roman colony. Many retired Roman soldiers called Philippi home. This is why it might have been shocking for some Christians in this city to read Paul's words:

"Our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ." (Phil. 3:20)

If you're a Christian, this statement is also true of you today.
The Lord's church is not tied to any earthly nation, and our allegiance is to be given to Him alone. This is precisely why we must pray for the country where God has placed us...who else will?

As we approach the presidential election season, we invite you to join your pastors in fasting and praying for spiritual renewal, God's guidance, and the leaders God has appointed to lead the country (Rom. 13:1-7).

every Wednesday from September 11th to November 29th, 2024.

Fasting Until 2pm

Your pastors will also fast every Wednesday from waking up until 2pm. We invite you to do the same.

Preparation & Repentance

We must prepare our hearts for the upcoming elections, repent of divisiveness, and seek unity in Christ, who is the God of peace.

"And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful."

Wisdom & Discernment

Pray that God will give wisdom and discernment to all voters. Pray that people will choose leaders whose character and policies align with God’s Word.

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction."

Hope & Healing

Pray for healing in our nation regardless of the election outcomes, and ask God for leaders who will seek the welfare of all citizens.
